"To honor the legacy of Cora and James, Cora James Veterans Foundation is dedicated to combatting isolation, substance abuse, and food insecurity among veterans. Drawing on the founders' military and financial backgrounds, we aim to leverage our passion for service and Jimmie's culinary skills to empower and uplift veterans in our community."
The founders of Cora James Veterans Foundation are Jimmie L. Mason and Sunseaah Rae Mason. They have been married 50 plus years. Jimmie was honorably discharged from the US Air Force, he later graduated from Arizona State University, his major in Social Psychology and a executive chief license. The name of the organization are the names of Jimmie's parents, Cora and James. Sunseaah Rae Mason worked in the banking industry for 40 plus years. The founders saw a need in the community. That many veterans were isolated, experience substance abusiveness, and need nutritional services. Jimmie has a love for cooking and decided to use his gift to give back.
